Good value for money gaming PC
Thursday, 17 March 2022  |  Lawrence

Very good quality and decent performance for gaming. my son is over the moon. We replaced a mac and this is far better, for price cant be beaten. The Core i5 processor is very capable and graphics card is pretty good, 8GM ram is more than enough for what he needs. Also if you want to upgrade its very easy to do but overall performance while an older model is more than enough to handle most games, Probably would upgrade the graphics card in the future when he starts playing more complex games but Frame rate is good. I would defo recommend microchoice to be fair and im impressed with the quality of the case and the LED lights look great. Also they are very responsive to queries which is refreshing. good stuff.

Good option for purchasing a better spec computer than you can actually afford new!

I am pleased with the computer, it was easy to install and is working well for me. I bought a 3 year insurance plan with it, as it is an older computer. I am also glad to buy a refurbished computer from an environmental point of view.

When we hear the word “refurbished”, we often associate it with “used” and “questionable quality”. However, today’s refurbished items can give you an impressive value for the money. Electronics don’t have moving parts and as long as they are kept cool and clean, computer parts often last a long time. This can make buying a refurbished computer over a new one a good idea.

If your computer is running rather sluggish, for example, slow at booting up, programs taking too long to execute or in the worst-case scenario it does not boot up at all, this does not always indicate a hardware issue. On most occasions the issue is software related caused but not limited to the following:

- Failed Windows Update

- An incompatible hardware driver

- A recent hardware change

- Incompatible Software

- User error (for example not shutting down the PC correctly)

You may get an error message on your screen if you have connected the monitor to the wrong port on the computer or you may even get no display at all.

Please ensure you have connected the monitor to the VGA port on the dedicated graphics card and not the onboard VGA.

If you are having difficulty connecting to a wireless network, there are 3 main steps any experienced tech would do before advanced troubleshooting.

These steps are -

  1. Check that the wireless adapter on the machine is switched on.
  2. Ensure that you are typing in the correct password for that network.
